From "Vehicle Safety Performance 2024," mounting position of dummy is changed from assistant seat into rear seat. Due to the changes in the evaluation content, the allocation of points has been changed. Therefore, it is not possible to make direct comparisons of safety performances based on their scores with vehicle models evaluated in the past.

“New offset frontal collision test” on which test vehicle collides with Moving Deformable Barrier has been introduced from “Vehicle Safety Performance 2024”. In addition to evaluation for protection performance for passengers in test vehicle (Self protection: SP) implemented by offset frontal collision test from before, protection performance for reducing damage to vehicle target (Partner Protection: PP) is evaluated at the same time. In PP, points are reduced (minus points are given) due to damage to the vehicle target, better evaluation is given as low damage as the deduction is smaller. The level in new offset frontal collision test is evaluated by the total score of SP and PP.

aPLI (advanced Pedestrian Legform Impactor) for femur has been newly introduced from “Vehicle Safety Performance 2024”. Due to the changes in the evaluation content, the allocation of points has been changed. Therefore, it is not possible to make direct comparisons of safety performances based on their scores with vehicle models evaluated in the past.
