Automatic Accident Emergency Call System Evaluation Method (From FY2026)

The test vehicle is checked to determine whether it is equipped with an Automatic accident emergency call system specified in the safety standard for road transport vehicle, Article 43.8.
A higher score is given to a system that automatically emits information on injury prediction for passengers of the vehicle in the event of an accident.

• Advanced type II:
  An Automatic accident emergency call system conforming to the safety standard, which transmits the following information on the vehicle:
  
  • Information on injury prediction for front-seat passengers
  • Information indicating “Rear-seat passenger present” when a passenger in a rear seat, excluding the third and subsequent rows of seats, is wearing a seat belt
• Advanced type I:
  An Automatic accident emergency call system conforming to the safety standard, other than “Advanced type II,” which transmits information on injury prediction for front-seat passengers of the vehicle.
• Standard type:
  An Automatic accident emergency call system conforming to the safety standard, other than “Advanced type I” and “Advanced type II.”

Automatic Accident Emergency Call System Evaluation Method(From FY2020)

• "Automatic accident emergency call system":
  Automatic accident emergency call system defined in the safety standard for road transport vehicle, Article 43.8 (The Ordinance of the Ministry of Transport, No. 67 of 1951) (hereinafter referred to as "safety standard").
• "Standard type":
  automatic accident emergency call system conforming to the safety standard, other than "advanced type"
• "Advanced type":
  automatic accident emergency call system conforming to the safety standard, which emits information on injury prediction for passengers of the vehicle
• "Standard type (non-conforming to the safety standard)":
  automatic accident emergency call system which has the same function with the automatic accident emergency call system (standard type), which shall be a subject for evaluation till applying the standard to the vehicle in continuous production, though it doesn’t conform to the safety standard (excluding mobile phone application type)
• "Advanced type (non-conforming to the safety standard)":
  automatic accident emergency call system which has the same function with the automatic accident emergency call system (advanced type), which shall be a subject for evaluation till applying the standard to the vehicle in continuous production, though it doesn’t conform to the safety standard (excluding mobile phone application type)
