Previously, products aproved but after November 24, 1988, the system changed such that products are now designated. |
| 3. |
After January, 2002, child seats which have been designated as compliant with the new Japanese Regulations established in 2000 will show the promulgation date of these regulations. Additionally, for products designated as being in compliance with these new regulations prior to December 2001, the designated number in the lower line will serve as the designated number for this product. |
| 4. |
The Super Carry and Discovery Baby Seat can be secured to the seat using either 2-point or 3-point installation, with the former used for the purposes of this assessment. It should be noted that had 3-point installation been used for this evaluation, test results may have differed slightly. |
| 5. |
Products receiving the "Not recommended" rating were so assessed as their performance was deemed to fall short of the levels set for recommending products based on this testing, which is intended to evaluate higher-level safety performance. This should not be construed, however, as indicating that these products are unusable. All of the products selected for testing offer a level of safety in compliance with relevant Safety regulations. |
